happy holidays!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Years!Angel Falls was amazing, and a highlight was going for a swim in the pool at the bottom! The whole area is really beautiful, with more tepuis and waterfalls than i could count!
I spent Christmas on the coast in Puerto Colombia, a town famous for it´s beautiful beach and tamborin, these crazy drum beats that kept me awake every night! Met up with a guy from Caracas, and two Canadian girls, and right now I´m staying with them in Caracas.
My first impression of Caracas when I got to the airport 2 months ago was that it was a big scarry, dirty city. Which is still true, but I´m starting to like it... it´s in a really beautiful mountainous location sort of reminiscent of Vancouver!
For New Years I´m heading to Merida, which is the outdoor sports capital of Venezuela so I´m sure I´ll find some trouble to get into!!

Happy New Year! Now you can tell people you know the Mayor... keep that for a rainy day in case you end up in a South American prison ;) It's so warm here it feels like spring- thought I hear in your neck of the woods in Western Canada things are rough and snow crazy. Keep safe, glad you didn't die of rabies!

Hey Kate. Sweet pictures. Sweet sweetness. We're glad to see that you're having such a great time. I had a dream last night that I was a maintenance guy for ads on blimps, then I skydived off the blimp when I was finished. While I was falling I thought "this is something Kate would enjoy." Then when I landed you were pulling into the harbor and I realized how long it's been since I've seen you. Missing you and keep on having a great time.
It's a dream! It doesn't have to make any sense.
